Message: How do I winter the Calla Lilly and plant in the Spring

From: Robin - Richbar Nursery (November 14, 2004)
Message: To overwinter the calla lilies in our cooler climate you must do the following: Dig out of the ground before hard frost damages the root. If foliage has died back already, cut back the foliage. Store root in a paper bag with peatmoss or vermiculite in a dark area that stays between 5 and 10 degrees celcius. Replant in the spring after all danger of frost is passed.
