Message: Two questions. Do I have to deadhead wave petunias? Iunderstodd not and found the sems got longer and longer without flowers. Instructions seem to conflict. Also when the plants get leggy late in the summer just how do I prune them so that they conntinue to grow?

Message: ALL PETUNIAS BENEFIT FROM REGULAR DEADHEADING AS WELL AS PINCHING BACK TO PREVENT LEGGINESS. I PINCH MY PETUNIAS BACK REGULARLY AS I OFTEN FIND THIS THE EASIEST WAY TO DEADHEAD. ALTHOUGH PETUNIAS ARE VERY FORGIVING, IF YOU PINCH YOUR PETUNIA BACK TO A LEAF AXIS, YOU WON'T EVEN BE ABLE TO TELL THAT IT JUST HAD A HAIRCUT. MAKE SURE THAT THEY'RE IN A FULL SUN LOCATION AND FERTILIZED FREQUENTLY AS THEIR VIGOROUS GROWTH REQUIRES AMPLE NUTRIENTS.
